History has been made! Something fans may forget is how young AEW still is. The company is one of the biggest in the world and certainly the second biggest in the United States, but they have not even been on weekly television for a year yet. To have come as far as they have in such a short amount of time is remarkable, but they still have a lot of groundwork to do. One such thing was accomplished this Saturday.

Titles are one of the most important parts of any wrestling promotion. They let fans know who the best wrestlers in the company are and give them a rather nice piece of hardware to make it that much more obvious. That is something that has worked for years in wrestling and it works to this day in AEW. Since the company is so new, they have not had many titles change hands, though the number grew this weekend.

During this Saturday’s All Out pay per view, FTR defeated Kenny Omega and Hangman Page to become the third ever AEW Tag Team Champions. The win came after a Mindbreaker to Page, who was shaken up after Omega accidentally hit him with a V Trigger. After the match was over, Omega walked away from Page and left him laying in the ring before leaving the arena. Omega spoke about how he needed Page to do this right and he messed up, blaming the loss on Page.

They could be champs for a long time. Check out FTR in action:

Opinion: This was the only way they could have gone with the ending as FTR has been pushed as some of the biggest new stars in the company since they debuted. Omega and Page had held the titles for a long time and the story had been set up for them to lose the titles. They got the story right and that’s what matters here, plus the fact that the match was rather great.

What did you think of the title change? How long will FTR hold the titles? Let us know in the comments below.
