That could have been worse. Last weekend, AEW presented Forbidden Door, a show built around a series of matches between AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling stars. The card was stacked with all kinds of talented stars, some of whom are among the biggest names in the world. That was the case with the main event, which was a hard hitting fight. It turns out that someone is not as banged up as it seems.

The main event of Forbidden Door saw Jon Moxley defeat Hiroshi Tanahashi to become the new Interim AEW World Champion. Following the show, Moxley addressed the crowd and said that he was “probably concussed”. However, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, the statement was not true and is something Moxley likes to say in promos after big matches. Moxley does not have a concussion and is not believed to be injured in any way.

Opinion: After all of the injuries that AEW has dealt with in recent weeks, it is nice to see someone actually not being hurt for a chance. Moxley said something and got people to believe him, which is the point of a wrestler talking most of the time. Thankfully everyone is ok here and we can move on to something else without a serious injury. If nothing else, it makes for an effective plot device because it is certainly believable.

What do you think of Moxley? Who should his first challenger be? Let us know in the comments below.
