Vacation is canceled. One of the biggest changes caused by the Coronavirus pandemic has been seeing most wrestling companies being stuck in one location. This could range from the state of Florida all the way down to the same building for months on end. WWE has moved around Florida, but AEW has been in Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida for several months now. It turns out that it might be the case for a lot longer.

Earlier this month, news broke that AEW was considering a move down to Miami, Florida, at least in the short term. The weekly shows, as well as the upcoming Revolution pay per view, would be taking place at an unnamed venue in Miami before moving back to Jacksonville in March. If nothing else, the move would have been a way to give the wrestlers a change of pace. However, that may not be the case.

According to Bodyslam.net, AEW has changed its plans on the move and will be staying in Jacksonville for the “indefinite future”. There is no word on why AEW made the change or if they will be trying to move to another city to tape television at any point in the near future. Outside of a few shows at QT Marshall’s gym in Georgia when the pandemic was starting, AEW has run every show from Daily’s Place.

Opinion: I can understand how this is going to make things a little more difficult for the wrestlers, as a move out of the same building could certainly boost morale. AEW has been stuck in the same place for a long time now and just the idea of getting to try something new and have things feel a little more normal must sound nice. It’s a shame that they aren’t, but I’m sure they’ll get to one day.
