It can happen to anyone. An injury is the kind of thing that can take any wrestler out of action in the blink of an eye. You never want to see someone get hurt but no matter how well trained a wrestler may be, there is always the chance that someone is going to be injured. That might have taken place this week in a show that has yet to actually air on television.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Wardlow suffered an injury, possibly to his leg, at some point during the taping of AEW Rampage Grand Slam. Wardlow teamed with Samoa Joe to face Tony Nese and Josh Woods. There is no word on if the injury took place during or after the match, though Wardlow was able to take part in a post match angle. The match will air this Friday night on Rampage.
Opinion: Hopefully Wardlow isn’t too badly hurt, if he is hurt whatsoever, because you never want to see someone put on the shelf. Wardlow is still one of the bigger deals in AEW and it would be awful to see him miss time with any kind of an injury. The fact that he was able to go through with something after the match is a good sign but what matters is whether or not he is healthy again.
What do you think of Wardlow? What should he do next in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
