She’s in? While WWE and AEW are the biggest and most powerful wrestling promotions in the world, there are several wrestlers who are not currently signed to either company. It can be a big deal when one of those stars does sign with one of the promotions. While it is not confirmed yet, there was a major tease of such a signing this week. Now we seem to know a bit more about the situation.

This week on Dynamite, AEW President Tony Khan announced a special edition of Dynamite called Big Business, which will take place on March 13. The show will take place in Boston, Massachusetts, with the word “Bosston” being seen in the background. While not confirmed, this would suggest that Mercedes Mone, a Boston native and formerly known as the Boss, would be coming to AEW.
According to Fightful Select, Mone has been signed to AEW since around the beginning of the year. The deal is believed to have come together around the same time that Mone’s talks with WWE fell through. New Japan is expecting to still be able to work with Mone, where she was working last year.
This could be big. Check out the segment and what Mone could bring to AEW:
Opinion: I don’t think it is any secret that Mone was coming to AEW, which seemed to be the case her talks with WWE fell apart. Throw in the Boston connection, the name Big Business and the Boss deal and it more or less confirms everything. That isn’t exactly a shock and while it should be a big debut, the question becomes what AEW has Mone do next, which makes things more interesting.
