Who’s ready for Adam Cole bay bay? If there’s one thing WWE has gotten good at, it’s bringing in top level indy names for surprise debuts at their NXT Takeover specials. One of the highlights of “Takeover: Orlando” was waiting for the big surprise and then having Drew McIntyre revealed as the big returning star. There’s a new free agent on the market but he has a wide host of suitors.

According to Dave Meltzer on “Wrestling Observer Radio”, Adam Cole is a hot commodity right now but there is no word on where he might sign. Cole was most recently signed to Ring of Honor but his contract expired over the weekend. At the moment, both WWE and New Japan are both courting him, though Cole could work for Ring of Honor on a per appearance basis until he signs elsewhere. Meltzer thinks that Cole will wind up in WWE sooner or later.

Opinion: With Cole having already won three Ring of Honor World Titles, there really isn’t much else for him to do there. Cole is only 27 years old and could spend years in New Japan before he comes to WWE. Now that being said, there’s also the idea of striking while the iron is hot and I’m not sure Cole will ever be as valuable an asset as he is at the moment.
