No matter how talented or successful they might be, all of them start with the company at some point and eventually, all of them leave. Some of these departures can come out of nowhere as quite the surprise, which is what we are seeing again as a former champion is gone.

Former WWE Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion Cedric Alexander has announced that he has departed WWE. Alexander put up a tweet thanking fans for eight and a half years with the company and saying that he will be continuing his career in 90 days. There is no word on why Alexander is leaving the company. Alexander has most recently been active in NXT, with his most recent match taking place on January 28.

Opinion: That’s quite the surprise, as Alexander has been around for a rather long time and was at least somewhat active in NXT. He was a good hand and will be able to find work in a variety of places, as he was successful enough in WWE. This is still out of nowhere though and I’m curious to see if there is anything out of the ordinary going on. Maybe it is just Alexander wanting to move on though, and if that is the case, good for him.
