He needs to fight someone. There are very few stars in WWE history who have been as dominant for as long as Roman Reigns. Now on a two plus year reign as WWE Universal Champion, Reigns is rapidly running out of challengers to come after his title. That means WWE is going to need to think outside of the box to find someone to come after Reigns. It just might be another world champion.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a future match between Reigns and boxing world champion Tyson Fury is a possibility, though it might not be soon. Fury had a staredown with Reigns at Clash At The Castle and has said that he wants to get into wrestling when his boxing career is over. The most likely place for the match would be in Saudi Arabia, but the two facing off at Crown Jewel is not seen as a likely outcome. Fury has wrestled for WWE before, defeating Braun Strowman at Crown Jewel 2019.
Opinion: This might not be ideal, but who else is Reigns supposed to face? The match wouldn’t be much in the way of wrestling, but it would certainly be a spectacle. That is what the Saudi Arabia shows tend to be and there is a chance that it could happen there at some point. I’m not sure how much more boxing Fury is going to do, but he does seem to have a big interest in wrestling so if he can get into it, good for him.
