The first of many. There are several titles throughout WWE and all of them have one thing in common: they had to start somewhere. At some point, the title was won for the first time and only one person can do that in history. That is what we saw this week, as WWE has introduced a new championship and now someone has won it for the very first time ever.

This week on WWE Speed, Candice LeRae defeated Iyo Sky to become the inaugural WWE Women’s Speed Champion. This match was a tournament final for the title, which started back in August. The match was taped last week after SmackDown and aired this week. The win marks LeRae’s first title on the main roster, though she is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that only happens every so often but it is still a cool moment, as no one can take that away from her. The Speed Title might not mean much compared to everything else that WWE offers, but it is better than not winning anything at all. I could go for having LeRae featured more as she is a talented star and maybe this is the first step for her.
