#1 Contenders Match Set for “Battleground 2017”

Why have one when you can have them all? Naomi has been the Smackdown Live Women’s Champion since “Wrestlemania XXXIII” but now she needs a fresh challenger. While there are several women on the “Smackdown Live” roster, we need a way to thin that list down. As it turns out, that problem was solved this week.

This week on “Smackdown Live”, Commissioner Shane McMahon announced a five way elimination match at “Battleground 2017” between Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Tamina, Natalya and Lana. The winner of the match will receive the Women’s Title shot against Naomi at “Summerslam 2017”.

Opinion: I’d be surprised if this was anyone other than Lynch or Charlotte getting the win. Either of those two vs. Naomi in a huge showdown would make sense, especially if it results in Carmella cashing in the briefcase. Did I mention I can’t stand that concept and really want it to be eliminated as soon as possible?
