Bray Wyatt officially returned to WWE on the April 9 edition of Monday Night Raw but he was not alone. The Eater of Worlds was joined by Woken Matt Hardy. The two defeated Titus Worldwide to advance in the Tag Team Eliminator tournament for the Raw tag championships.

Wyatt and Hardy were extremely entertaining separately but now that they’re together, it certainly seems the sky is the limit. It’s extremely satisfying to see Wyatt in this role, especially considering his fan following.

The WWE faithful have always wanted to see Bray Wyatt as a babyface. He’s just so good at what he does and he has a real connection to the crowd. Even though his promos were always wildly cryptic and his motivations shrouded in mystery, Wyatt still managed to draw the fans in.

Here’s Wyatt working alongside his new tag team parter:

But Wyatt’s booking has always been his toughest opponent in WWE. No matter how many times he seemed to gain some forward movement, the company always managed to push him a step back. He may have been an antagonist during his entire run, but fans were still invested in him. However it was hard to support him in any capacity because he could never remain consistent.

It’s not as though he didn’t have opportunities of course. He was the WWE champion and has had his fair share of TV time. Of course all of that has been tempered with the many missteps he suffered along the way. But now he has the chance to truly get ahead.

Bray Wyatt can cut loose with Matt Hardy. The two men have not even begun as a unit and it’s already obvious that it will work. The chemistry they had as enemies will serve them well now and both men can just have fun with it. More importantly, the fans will have fun with it as well.

Here’s what happened when Matt had a conversation backstage with Brother Nero:

Jeff Hardy comes face-to-face with "Woken" Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt: Raw, April 9, 2018

Woken Matt works because he’s in his own little world. Everything he says makes sense to him, though it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else. Hardy can be as bizarre and as crazy as he wants to be and it will only make him even more popular. The fans buy in because he buys in. That description also happens to suit Bray Wyatt as well.

These Woken warriors will wage battle again and they will go on to become the new Raw tag team champions. It’s inevitable that they will succeed and it’s almost certain that WWE is onboard. The company sees the potential in the partnership and they surely see dollar signs as well.

Bray Wyatt was entertaining on his own but now he will be wonderful.
