WrestlingInc has provided a number of updates as to the condition of Ric Flair following reports yesterday that he was admitted to hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Flair is without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers ever to grace the ring. It is extremely saddening for any fan of the business to see him in such a way. We thought it would be a good idea to showcase his absolutely driven personality and passion for the ring in this interview. We highly suggest you check it out.

Ric Flair On Life Of Wrestling

The first update is that WWE were to premiere an episode of ‘Table For 3’ featuring Ric Flair, Sting and Ricky Steamboat after ‘Raw‘ last night. However, this was replaced by a special one hour special titled ‘Ric Flair: Forever The Man’ instead. This was likely due to his hospitalization. If you would personally like to watch the special, it can be found under ‘Originals’ on the WWE Network. We have no word yet on when the ‘Table For 3’ episode will air.

During ‘Raw,’ Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Booker T all sent Flair well wishes from Boston. Cole noted that Flair’s sugery was successful, but he still has a long road to recovery left. The company would also send out the following tweet:

On the surgery specifically, we previously reported that it was likely due to his heart based on past issues. However, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, who happens to be Flair’s manager tweeted the following:

What she is saying is that Flair had surgery and is not heart related. She is happy to report that the surgery was success but he isn’t clear yet. Keep praying for Charlotte, Megan, David and Wendy.

WWE Hall of Famer Gene Okerlund took to his Facebook page to explain that the surgery Flair had was for his colon. Here is what he had to say:

“I’ve heard nothing on the outcome of Ric Flairs colon surgery this afternoon but the outpouring of prayers and love re-enforce that he definitely is “THE MAN”.”

Charlotte took to her Instagram to say the following:

“Hi guys, On behalf of my family and I, we want to THANK everyone for the prayers, texts, calls and support. Our Dad is a FIGHTER and your continued thoughts and prayers MEAN THE WORLD to us. We will update everyone when we have more information.”
