Since becoming President of the United States and even in the time before doing so, Donald Trump has been calling out news organisations all over America for being what he defines as ‘fake news.’

Today Donald Trump himself tweeted out a clip from his ‘WrestleMania 23‘ appearance where he attacks Vince McMahon but with the CNN logo over his head.

The Battle of the Billionaires takes place at WrestleMania

Trump references a modified version of a portion of the video above in his tweet. This comes from his ‘WrestleMania 23’ match against Vince McMahon in what was dubbed the ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ in a ‘Hair vs. Hair’ match where the loser would get their head shaved. McMahon was represented by Umaga whilst Trump had Bobby Lashley. Due to a series of events involving Shane McMahon and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Lashley ultimately picked up the victory for Trump, meaning McMahon had to have his head shaved.

Trump has in the past on multiple occasions called CNN out for being ‘fake news’ for a variety of reasons. His latest tweet appears to be gaining more traction than all the previous allegations against CNN that the President has made.

Only recently tweeted, he has over 260 thousand likes and over 166 thousand retweets. The ‘POTUS’ account has also retweeted this. Wrestling Rumors will keep you up to date on this situation if it develops more.

Editor’s Note:

I was wondering when WWE would be referenced by Trump now that he is President. Certainly an interesting way to get his message across.
