WWE have now confirmed via their official website that all four horsewomen are now employed with WWE. So why did WWE pick them all up?

It is not new news that Shayna Baszler or Ronda Rousey are with WWE. Baszler is obviously the NXT Women’s Champion as Rousey is making a name for herself on Raw.

What is new is Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir have signed with the company, joining the other two horsewomen. They are reporting to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Duke of the horsewomen stands at 5-foot-11 and fought professionally from 2012 to 2016. She competed in the bantamweight class for a number of organizations including the UFC. She was a member of “Ultimate Fighter” in 2013 alongside “Team Rousey.”

Shafir, the final member of the horsewomen, stands at 5-foot-7. Shafir is an accomplished judoka who goes by the nickname of “The Supernova of Moldova,” fighting in promotions such as Invicta and Lights Out Promotions. She is engaged to The Undisputed Era’s Roderick Strong and has been ringside for a number of his matches with NXT.

So why have they signed? Well, there are a number of reasons, but there is one we think the majority of fans will understand. The four horsewomen of WWE vs. the four horsewomen of MMA. This is a match now made possible.

Another reason is for publicity. If WWE holds all four members of the MMA horsewomen, it will draw a lot of publicity for the company and create even more dream matches for fans who’ve speculated on their arrival for years.
