Pro Wrestling NOAH veteran and former X-Division Champion Taiji Ishimori may be WWE bound, according to WrestlingInc, by way of Nikkan Sports via Yahoo Japan.

Earlier this week, Ishimori confirmed on his Instagram account that he had given his resignation to Pro Wrestling NOAH. This is seen as a major move as he has worked with the company since 2006.

While the comments have for the most part been supportive, it now begs the question of where is Ishimori headed?

Check out the post:

Translator Chris Charlton noted on his Twitter that Ishimori claimed he was to take a big step or regret it forever.

Ishimori noted Shinsuke Nakamura, Hideo Itami and Kota Ibushi as inspirations and claimed that WWE is the goal for him and is his future in pro wrestling.

While we don’t have confirmation that the big step was going to WWE, we believe there is enough of a correlation there to assume this is the likely scenario.

It is unknown what will happen at this time between Ishimori and Impact Wrestling, as he does work for them under a NOAH and Impact talent exchange and if he isn’t with NOAH, what will come of that?

Wrestling Rumors will continue to update you as we learn more on Ishimori potentially headed to WWE.
