Update on On-Screen “Sexual Tension” Between Paige and AJ Lee

PWInsider has given update to the ongoing storyline between WWE Divas Champion Paige and the No. 1 contender to the title belt AJ Lee, and fans of the “Attitude Era” will be satisfied.

According to the report, WWE has put consideration into pushing the envelope with its storylines, with the Paige and AJ one being at the emphasis. It is said there has been some sexual tension purposely teased between the two, which is WWE testing the water with getting edgier. Rosa Mendes was also partially exposed on “Main Event,” which further fueled the fire.

However, the report notes WWE still maintains a positive relationship with its kid-oriented sponsors like Mattel. For this reason, it is unlikely the company will ever return to its previous TV-14 status.

Still, it is possible WWE will push small language slip-ups and innuendos going forward to make larger appeal
