Two Irish independent wrestlers have signed developmental deals with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Joey Cabray, known on the scene as ‘Omen’, will head to the USA next week to work under the NXT Developmental system. Cabray has previously worked under the No Limit Wrestling company and helped set up the promotion in 2006.

“It’s means a great deal to me, I’ve trained hard for the past 8 years and made a lot of sacrifices”, Cabray told IrishNewsReview. “I’ve travelled everywhere from Tokyo to New York to Berlin with wrestling and finally made it to WWE. I feel honoured because there are literally hundreds of thousands of young independent pro wrestlers around the world yet only a couple of hundred have a contract with WWE”.

Rachel Walker, known as ‘Rachelle St Claire’ will join Cabray at NXT under a similar developmental deal, however she will not travel until she has recovered from a recent knee injury.
