There had been some buzz over the last week, as it was reported that former WWE Champion “Stone Cold” Steve Austin was backstage at Monday Night Raw. It was then confirmed that he was in fact behind the scenes, but to record an interview with Zeb Colter for his podcast.

However, word continued over “The Rattlesnake’s” supposed interest in an in-ring return. PWInsider.com reports, though, that this is unlikely to ever happen.

It is said that during the taping of Tough Enough several years ago, Austin got curious and began taking a few bumps in the ring. However, something went wrong, and he ended up feeling more banged up than expected. This was an alarm for Austin, and he realized that his body is not meant to wrestle again.

Austin has said in the past that he has no interest in stepping back into the ring.
