Prior to his arrest Wednesday morning for a domestic incident involving his son and wife, wrestling legend Kevin Nash spoke with ABC 2 to discuss the upcoming Maryland Championship Wrestling show he was scheduled to participate in. It is unknown at this time as to whether he will still partake in the show. Nonetheless, below are some highlights from the conversation.

Nash spoke on wrestling in the event, which will be his first match in a year as he takes part in a six-man tag:

“It will be nice to step in the ring and see what I still have left,” Nash said. “I also enjoy seeing what the next generation has to offer and connecting with fans in an intimate setting at a venue like MCW.”

He noted he still has a few more bumps left in him on his “bump card.”

The former WWE Champion also discussed helping his buddy Triple H identify upcoming talent on the independent wrestling scene:

“Social media is huge today,” Nash said. “It’s a lot easier for fans to keep up with wrestlers and see the next big star in the making. If someone catches my eye, I do my best to let Triple H know there is someone out there the WWE should be interested in signing.”

The 55-year-old went on to note as he pursues a career in acting, he won’t let his wrestling career be reviewed by not yet being in the WWE Hall of Fame:

“I’m not going to be defined by the Hall of Fame. I believe my body of work over nearly 30 years speaks for itself.”

Editor’s Note

I just saw Nash the other day at the PWS show. Not sure he looked ready to go in the ring, but I doubt he appears anyway at this point.
