Former WWE Undisputed Champion Chris Jericho has never been one to shy away from sharing his feelings, and has done so once again in regards to ex-WWE Superstar CM Punk.

In an interview with F4WOnline, Jericho discussed his past relationship with Punk, which he says was a strong friendship. However, he has reached out to Punk to check in on him multiple times, and has heard nothing back.

Jericho said:

“We have worked together multiple times over the years. We always had great chemistry and he was one of my favorite guys to work with.

But since he left the WWE he has avoided me. I’ve never heard one peep or squeak from him since. I’ve reached out to him a couple of times, like ‘hey I’m watching the class from 78’, but no, nothing.”

Moreover, he went on to take the decision not to talk to him as a personal shot, not even just professional.

“That’s his decision and that’s kind of a drag. It’s like I understand that professionally, but leaving your friends behind is a bit of a drag. I mean, I don’t give a f*** if he wrestles or not.”

In the interview, he also noted how what Punk went through is similar to what happened to him in 2005. Jericho felt burnt out, and left the company after a feud with John Cena. However, as he said in the interview, he worked his exit perfectly with his contract expiring, unlike Punk who walked out with months remaining following the “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view.

Jericho returned to WWE in 2012 to feud with Punk for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 28, a match won by Punk. It was reported Wednesday WWE and Punk are still on bad terms months after him leaving.

Editor’s Note

Hats off to Jericho for sounding off. That’s not cool of Punk if he is just dropping off from even his friends.
