Former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion Dave Bautista made a splash in this summer’s box office hit Guardians of the Galaxy. And according to a new report, the 45-year-old wrestler-turned-actor may have just landed the biggest role of his acting career thus far.

According to an exclusive from Latino-Review, Batista has been cast as the main “henchman/assassin” in the upcoming James Bond film. Bond 24, its preliminary title, will feature a character named “Hinx,” the role the former Evolution member has reportedly landed.

The website obtained a description for the role from a leaked casting breakdown:

We are looking to follow in the tradition of JAWS and ODDJOB in finding an iconic baddy.”

“Hinx (Male, 30 – 45)”

“Ideally over 6? 2?. Hinx is the main henchman/assassin. We are looking for an imposing extremely physically fit actor. He has several fights with Bond and will have to have stunt training. He has to drive. We are looking for someone very unusual, possibly from a sports background.”

“Height: 180cm – 195cm”

It was noted in September he would be appearing in the upcoming Robert De Niro film Bus 657, and was looking to add more major acting roles to his credentials. He left WWE in 2010 to pursue a career in MMA and film, but did not find mainstream success until Guardians.

Batista had been scheduled for one last major WWE run after leaving following “Payback.” It was rumored to be a program culminating at WrestleMania 31, with Triple H being thrown around as his ideal opponent. He had been expected to return sooner, but major doubt began to amount after his acting career began to take off.

He also noted after leaving he had been frustrated with WWE’s creative team during his most recent run. The movie begins filming Dec. 6, which would likely interfere with any winter return plans the company may have had.

Editor’s Note

HUGE get for Batista. Major congratulations to him if it’s true. The guy will become a star through it, furthermore.
