Batista Backstage at NXT Tapings

PWInsider.com is reporting that former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion Dave Batista was backstage at Thursday night’s NXT tapings at Full Sail University.

There is no word as to what he was doing backstage, but rumors have circulated over the years he would be interested in a short-term return to the company at some point. The 44-year-old was last seen on WWE television in 2010 after a feud with John Cena.

Since leaving the WWE, he has dipped his feet in both acting and mixed-martial arts. It is worth noting that Triple H, who himself groomed Batista into Evolution in the early-2000s, is in charge of NXT and WWE developmental.
