AJ Lee Reportedly Scheduled for May Return

WWE Diva and former Divas Champion AJ Lee took a leave of absence last week before “Monday Night Raw,” and has not appeared on television since she dropped the Divas Championship to Paige the night after WrestleMania XXX. It is believed that she is taking time off to get settled in with now-fiancée, CM Punk.

F4WOnline.com is reporting that Lee will remain off television through “Extreme Rules,” but should be returning not long after that. According to the site, Lee is advertised for the mid-May European tour, which will include television tapings overseas. This is a tour WWE normally does just after WrestleMania, but pushed it later for this year.

Additionally, she is expected to return stateside in June, as she is being advertised for live events during that month. June will have two special events, as both “Payback” and “Money in the Bank” will be held at the beginning and ending of the month.

It should be noted that Lee is entitled to a rematch for the championship, as she never invoked one. Paige will face Tamina at the upcoming special event instead.

It’s a long time that WWE will be without one of its most popular Divas, but perhaps that’s the exact reason why Paige was brought up. She will do a good job at filling the void.
