World’s Greatest Tag Turmoil?

Former WWE Superstar and Ring of Honor wrestler Charlie Haas posted the following on his official Twitter account Saturday night:

Several reports coming in from Ring of Honor’s live show in Asheville, NC confirm that Haas – a three-time WWE Tag Team Champion – appeared to be intoxicated before his match with Jeff Louis Neal, and announced his retirement from wrestling before the bell rang in a long, drawn-out promo about the history of the industry.

After the match, members of the ROH crew attempted to get Haas backstage, but he flipped them off and continued to rant to the live crowd, even though he was denied a microphone. During his “promo”, he specifically targeted Kevin Kelly and Ring of Honor booker Delirious, both of whom Haas was overheard arguing with backstage before the show.

According to ProWrestling.net, the former World’s Greatest Tag Team member was crying throughout the match, and continued to do so backstage in the locker room, and left the building in an “agitated state”.

We will have more on this shocking situation as news becomes available.
