With rumors of Kurt Angle getting back into a WWE ring intensifying, this will be an interesting one.

According to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required), Kurt Angle is scheduled to appear on the Raw following WrestleMania.

If you’re taking that as confirmation that Angle will be returning to action on WWE’s stage, maybe step back for a minute. Remember that the Ultimate Warrior also made a Raw appearance just after his induction, and this could just be a way to pop a very excited crowd.

With that caveat out of the way, though? It would certainly be a perfect opportunity to reintroduce Angle to the roster and set up a match for a post-Mania pay-per-view.

This confirms part of a previous report that suggested Angle would be on both Raw and SmackDown that week. And, of course, there has been significant talk that Angle might be on track to take over Mick Foley’s GM spot on Monday nights.

Kurt Angle's WWE Debut

As far as an in-ring return? That’s all dependent on Angle’s ability to pass WWE physicals. It seems Angle wants back in, but he’ll have to be confirmed by the company’s doctors first.

What role would you want to see Angle play in modern-day WWE? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook!
