Wrestlers just can’t catch a break. Now there’s another name to add to the list of recent injuries.

WWE.com just announced that Tajiri suffered an injury at the recent NXT tapings and is not medically cleared to compete. The injury seems to have been to his right knee.

We didn’t hear anything about the injury from live reports on the taping, but it seems to have been part of a main event match where Tajiri teamed with Nakamura to take on Samoa Joe and Bobby Roode.

Despite having recently been added to the 205 Live roster, Tajiri hasn’t competed since the January 5th taping.

It’s a major loss for WWE’s Cruiserweight division, which has been struggling to find its footing since the end of the Cruiserweight Classic Tournament.

Another injury at those same tapings was recently reported, and it seems that Shane Thorne’s untimely incident has cancelled a planned match for Takeover.

This news also follows last night’s report that Darren Young was hurt during a Main Event match with Epico. Young’s medical status is as yet unclear.

At the very least, Naomi’s cleared for her return, and Finn Balor is on schedule to compete at WrestleMania.
