Photos: Recent WWE Champ Got Married This Week

Though American Alpha may have lost the SmackDown Tag Team Championships this week, it’s not all gloom for Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. In fact, for JJ in particular, the week has been a good one.

That’s because Jason got married this week! And I know what you’re thinking–no, it wasn’t to Chad. Instead, it was to a lady named April Elizabeth.

She posted pictures of the ceremony to her Instagram, and the wedding looks to have been a lovely one.

Jason Jordan was an amateur wrestler at Indiana University, and signed with WWE in 2011. His career didn’t take off until he joined Chad Gable to form American Alpha in NXT, a team which would go on to be one of the most prolific and consistent purveyors of great matches in WWE.

Their title victory over Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton was a surprising one, but not a disappointment for those who knew their work in NXT. Though they lost the titles to the Usos this week, they’ve got a bright career ahead of them.

Plus Jordan just got married in a beautiful ceremony to a beautiful lady. What could be better?
