Kevin Owens is at the top of Raw, having captured the show’s number one prize: the Universal Championship. He successfully defended the title at Clash of Champions earlier this week, and his hold on the belt seems assured for the time being.

So what’s next for the star of the Kevin Owens Show? Perhaps a contest with the Beast Incarnate on the biggest stage of them all.

In an interview on ESPN’s Off the Top Rope, Owens was asked if he had a dream opponent for WWE’s biggest show next year.

“I want Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania,” Owens replied. “It’s as simple as that.”

Lesnar hasn’t been pinned or submitted since his shocking defeat of the Undertaker nearly three years ago, and fans have been speculating ever since about who would be the one to take the Beast down. A victory over Lesnar would immediately propel any WWE star to legendary status.

Aside from Lesnar, Owens also mentioned a few younger stars he’d like the chance to work with, such as recent NXT alumni like Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews.

Owens also discussed the inspiration for his moniker in WWE, the late Owen Hart, who also served as the namesake for Kevin’s son. The joy that Owen brought to his in-ring performances and the respect he earned from others was a strong inspiration.

With regards to potential injury, Owens said, “I really don’t let it come into my mind at all because I feel like if you go out there worried about getting hurt, you’re almost instinctively not going to give it your all.” He sympathized with the unfortunate timing of Finn Balor’s injury, but said he preferred to worry about things when they happen.
