Elimination Chamber Results: Did Turmoil Make New Tag Champs?

It’s SmackDown Live’s final show before WrestleMania, and most of the blue brand’s titles are on the line. We’re promised a “new” Elimination Chamber, and we expect the titular six-man title match to be a great one.

On top of that, WWE’s hottest young tag team tries to ride their momentum to the top of the card, three major feuds prove the blue brand’s women’s division isn’t getting left behind, Ziggler continues trying to convince the world he’s really a bad guy, and former Wyatt brothers settle things inside the ring.

Author bias here: American Alpha is one of the greatest acts in WWE today. Their run against the Revival in NXT was awesome, and their feud with the Wyatts in SmackDown was one of my favorite things the blue brand had going. So they when they were set to defend the titles against all comers in a Tag Team Turmoil match? Well, let’s say I was pretty excited.

Slater and Rhyno were the early heroes of the match, eliminating Breezango and the Vaudevillains before being taken out themselves by the Usos. The Usos, in turn, were eliminated by the American Alpha but delivered a vengeful beatdown to the reigning champs afterwards, leaving the Ascension in prime position to take the titles. The Alphas fought from underneath, however, to retain the titles and cement their SmackDown legacy.
