A “Title-for-Title Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match” has been announced for WWE’s annual December PPV, TLC. During the November 25th edition of “Monday Night Raw,” The Authority announced that WWE Champion Randy Orton would face World Heavyweight Champion John Cena in the monumental match, and only one man would walk away from the December PPV event as both WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, and the true face of the WWE.

At the beginning of “RAW,” Orton demanded that the WWE Universe, and everyone else that doubted him going into the WWE Survivor Series, apologize for their lack of faith. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon then joined him in the ring to discuss Orton’s position as the “face of the WWE,” all while Orton continue to say that he is the greatest WWE superstar in the company’s fifty-year existence. This declaration of being the greatest ever brought out WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena.

Cena then refuted Orton’s comments, saying that the two should have a match to decide who the true champion, and face, of the company really is, a match eleven years in the making. The title match was then made official for TLC.

The first WWE superstar to win both championships and actually unify the titles was Chris Jericho, who defeated both “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and The Rock in the same night in order to win the WWE Undisputed Championship. It is unsure as to if this match will unify the championships, as it was merely announced that the winner of the bout will be both WWE and World Heavyweight Champion.
