The Road to WrestleMania 29: The End of the Trilogy…

Only 3 days seperates the world from experiencing the spectacle that will be WrestleMania 29, and now the excitement is starting to set in. It’s still not the same level of excitement previous ‘Mania’s have exuded, but excitement nonetheless.

After Thursday’s WrestleMania press conference, I’m actually more behind the card that we have before us. I’m not sure why really, but I am. Fandango, yes #WASTEdango (which will for the foreseeable future be retired), continues to get me behind his heel character. His appearances on both the “Opie & Anthony Show” and Thursday’s press conference just fueled my excitement for what this character can be and grow into. He’s entertaining, no matter how terrible a “dancer” gimmick may be. So outside of Taker/Punk and Lesnar/HHH, this has to be THE match that I am most excited for.

As for the rest of the event’s line-up, I’ve covered my thoughts on them. Lesnar/HHH will be brutal, Taker/Punk will be great, and The Shield will still reign dominant in the WWE with another victory.

I’m now more excited about the end game here. I’m stoked to see who turns on who, will there be a Money in the Bank cash in, and what will the landscape for the next 6 months of WWE programming look like once ‘Mania is over.

Post-Mania Monday Night Raws are usually HUGE events, and this one should be no different. Despite the lack of “awesomeness” that this year’s Road to WrestleMania gave us, I still find myself excited about what will take place during that episode of Raw. Will there be any big reveals post-Mania, will anyone return, will there be WWE talent released that day? All questions that add to my excitement for this weekend.

WrestleMania 29 is upon us. Please enjoy the program and be sure to be on Twitter during the event. I will be tweeting from the official Wrestling Rumors Twitter handle, @WrestleRumors, as well as my own, @DougOMac. Follow us and join in our WrestleMania conversations by tweeting us throughout the show! This show has potential, so let’s hope the WWE capitalizes on it and no one is disappointed.

Enjoy WrestleMania!

WrestleMania 29 will air on PPV and multiple other sources LIVE from the MetLife Stadium in New York City on April 7th, at 7pm ET. Our LIVE coverage and tweeting begins at 6pm ET during the WrestleMania Pre-Show.
