“Smackdown” Spoilers for July 16

Reports from fans in attendance of the show, most notably Twitter followers @Wrestling_Rants and @FaithDorn, have provided us with WWE “Smackdown” spoilers for July 16, which will air on SyFy Network Thursday. The following event was taped in Birmingham, Alabama on July 14.

WWE “Smackdown” Spoilers for July 16

* Roman Reigns starts out “Smackdown” with a promo in the ring. He’s building toward’s his “Battleground” match with Bray Wyatt, when the Eater of Worlds appears on the Titantron. Reigns says that he owned Wyatt during “RAW,” beating him all over Atlanta and that Wyatt just ran away. Reigns vows to defeat Wyatt at “Battleground.”

* The main event for the show is then set as Reigns and Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus and Big Show.

1) The New Day def. The Lucha Dragon via Pinfall. WWE Tag Team Champions the Prime Time Players joined the commentary booth during the match. We’ll have to watch to see if Titus O’Neil is just as entertaining on the mic as he was on July 6.

2) King Barrett def. Jack Swagger via Pinfall. R-Truth cut a promo on Barrett regarding their WWE “Battleground” Kick-Off show.

3) Cesaro def. Rusev (w/ Summer Rae). Apparently, this match ran for a long time and was very good, which doesn’t surprise me. The match on “RAW” was amazing.

4) Neville def. Stardust via Pinfall. Neville won via roll-up, much like Stardust did on “RAW.” Stardust then attacked Neville backstage.

* NXT Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, Naomi, and Tamina Snuka, A.K.A Team B.A.D., cut a promo on how Banks, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte debuted on “RAW.”

5) Roman Reigns / Dean Ambrose def. Sheamus / Big Show via DQ. Bray Wyatt interferes and attacks Reigns, which costs Sheamus and Big Show the match.
