A new report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided the reason why the WWE Tag Team titles changed hands on RAW.

Apparently, Vince McMahon made the final decision for Cody Rhodes and Goldust to win the WWE Tag Team Championship titles from Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns on the October 14th edition of Monday Night Raw. The original plan was for the Shield to drop the titles to the Rhodes on October 27th at WWE Hell in a Cell, but McMahon made an executive decision Monday.

According to reports, McMahon had not been pleased that only heel characters were holding titles, and decided to pull the trigger on the title change during RAW as if to boost Monday night ratings, as the program is currently facing off against NFL Monday Night Football weekly.
