WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross claims CM Punk may miss out on WrestleMania XXX. In a recent entry posted on JRsBarBQ.com, Ross claims that Punk may have “missed the boat” when he left during WrestleMania season.

Punk left the WWE just before “Monday Night Raw” went on the air on Jan. 27. While the complete story of his departure, and the status of how serious it is has not yet been revealed, Punk has been removed from WWE Live Events (including “Monday Night Raw,” “Smackdown,” and PPVs), the WWE.com Power Rankings, and from WWE’s official Twitter followers list.

Ross says,

“I’d be shocked at this time if CM Punk has a role at WM30 and if he’s as burned out as those that know him well say that he is, that’s actually a good thing.

Again, WWE seems to be begging talents to take ownership of their TV personas and elevate their game in and out of the ring. The question is who’s going to actually do it and who’s going to continue to refuse to look in the mirror?”

Ross also takes shots at his former employer Vince McMahon, and WWE Creative/writers in the blog post, saying,

“Just for the record…I am the face of the Ross Report Podcast that begins next Wednesday February 19 with Steve Austin as guest number one. I’m sure that many of my former business associates would endorse that I have a face for Podcasting.”

In the early ’90s, Ross was fired from WWE multiple times due to his Bell’s Palsy. When re-hired and on television for 18 years, Ross and McMahon would use Ross’ condition as means to fire him again (both legitimately and as angles). In the comment made above, Ross is obviously referring to McMahon saying that he would endorse that Ross has a face for podcasting, because no one would have to see him in order to enjoy the audio-only program.

Ross also cracked a wise remark about the recent McMahon/Christian stories in his blog. According to reports, McMahon doesn’t like Christian’s face. He thinks it is too “ratty” and he just “doesn’t like looking at it.” JBL confirmed that these stories are true, and that McMahon joking said that he would like to place a blue dot over Christian’s face every time he appears on television. Ross, understanding these stories (as he was probably aboard the same flight along side of McMahon as he was suggesting the blue dot), said this about Christian,

“Not sure the running gag about Christian’s face being less than 8X10 ready. I assume it makes someone laugh.”

That someone is Vince McMahon. Ross did not stop there in his latest post, as he also took a shot at WWE Creative/writers. Ross was making mention to Betty White’s appearance on the Feb. 10 “Monday Night Raw,” but made sure to make a slight remark in regards to the WWE writers as well. He says,

“As a Betty White fan I was hoping for a little more from her but she’s 92 so her memorizing her lines on the day of the shoot might be asking too much. That applies to several talents who are much younger.”

Many of the scripts for “Monday Night Raw” are written the day of the broadcast, in which sometimes they are not even finalized as the program begins. Ross seems to be acknowledging that no matter your age, it would be tough to try and memorize lines that are given to you if you only have a day (or sometimes minutes) to do so.

WWE Creative’s process, such as having the scripts unfinished going into “RAW,” and planning out story lines on a day-by-day basis has been a constant frustration for some superstars, most notably CM Punk. Punk expressed his issues towards this process just three days before walking out on the company.
