WWE Hall Of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has announced that he will be competing in a wrestling match on Friday, September 13th, just three days removed from the one-year anniversary of his on-air heart attack. Lawler suffered a major heart attack while calling a tag match between Team Hell No and the Prime Time Players on September 10th’s edition of Monday Night Raw back in 2012.

Lawler will compete against Austin Idol at the Resorts Casino in Tunica, MS, with “Handsome” Jimmy Valiant officiating the match. “The King” made his announcement on MemphiSport Live over the weekend while promoting the re-opening of his “Jerry Lawler Museum” in Tunica, Mississippi.

This is not the first time Lawler has competed in the ring since suffering his heart attack in 2012. He participated in a six-man tag match for Dory Funk, Jr.’s “Bang TV” wrestling school and promotion back in May.
