A Jake “The Snake” Roberts documentary will be premiering soon. According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the film is titled, “The Resurrection of Jake the Snake,” and will showcase the previous few years of Roberts’ life.

The documentary was directed by Steve Yu and will make its world premiere at the Slamdance Festival, which takes place in late January as an alternative to the Sundance Festival. The film will document Roberts’ recent personal, and professional comebacks.

Roberts joined Diamond Dallas Page at his home in Atlanta circa 2012 to begin battling the demons that had haunted him for years. The pro wrestling legend had a long list of addictions and aliments that he bounced back from while living in the “Accountability Crib.”

Since Roberts became clean and sober, he’s battled cancer, appeared on WWE television again, and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 alongside Scott “Razor Ramon” Hall, Lita, and the late Ultimate Warrior.

Roberts, DDP, Chris Jericho, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and Adam “Edge” Copeland are are listed as cast members for the film.

Editor’s Note:
I’d love to watch this. Been so happy for Jake.
