A huge Six-Man Tag Team Match has been announced for “Extreme Rules.” During the April 15 tapings for “WWE Smackdown,” WWE COO Triple H announced that the reunited Evolution will face The Shield on May 4 at WWE “Extreme Rules.”

Evolution, a faction that was most popular and dominant during it’s run from 2002-05, joined forces again during the April 14 edition of “Monday Night Raw.” After being attacked by The Shield the previous Monday, and thwarted again by them on April 14, Randy Orton and Batista finally decided that Triple H was right when he said that when the three of them work together, they cannot be stopped, and if they do not work together, they will have issues with Daniel Bryan and The Shield.

After booking Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose in an 11-on-3 Handicap Tag Team Match on “RAW,” Evolution would come in to obliterate the Hounds of Justice. After leaving The Shield in a heap of themselves, and adding insult to injury by telling them to, “believe in Evolution,” the faction will now take aim at destroying the young trio at “Extreme Rules” on May 4.

Editor’s Note: Yes. We saw this coming. Check out the April 15 edition of “Wrestling Rumors Radio,” where I talk about this match and explain how I would book the finish. I also talk about the payoff matches we could see from this feud at SummerSlam in August.
