F4Wonline.com is reporting that the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture hit a minor Creative snag with current World Heavyweight Champ Dolph Ziggler suffering a concussion. With the champion injured, the planned Triple-Threat Ladder match for Extreme Rules was scrapped and a #1 Contender’s “I Quit” match between Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger was put in its place. Extreme Rules will take place Sunday, May 19th, at 8pm on PPV.

WWE’ Creative’s plan is to give whoever walks away from Extreme Rules as #1 Contender his World Heavyweight title shot on an episode of Monday Night Raw as soon as Ziggler is medically cleared to compete again. Having a World Title match on Raw would allow them to keep their plans for the next PPV, “Payback,” in tact.
