A new report from WWE.com claims Christian will not compete in an Intercontinental Championship Match against current champion Big E on WWE “Main Event” on March 25. Christian won the title shot after emerging from a Number One Contender Fatal 4 Way Match victorious on the March 24 edition of “Monday Night Raw,” but will not be competing for the championship now for some unknown reason.

The report reads as such,

WWE.com has received word from backstage at TD Garden in Boston that Christian will not be competing tonight against Intercontinental Champion Big E.

Last night on Raw, Christian won an opportunity to challenge for the powerful champion’s illustrious title in a fast-paced Fatal 4-Way Match. However, with the two-time World Heavyweight Champion not lacing up his boots, questions are already beginning to arise as to what will happen next.

Tune in to WWE Main Event, LIVE tonight at 8:00 ET exclusively on WWE Network to learn more about this developing story surrounding the Intercontinental Title picture.

With nothing else to go on, it looks like the company will explain the removal of “Captain Blue Dot” from this match on WWE “Main Event,” which airs live on the WWE Network, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
