Bad News Barrett and Daniel Bryan have been removed from advertisements for WWE’s upcoming European tour. The tour begins on Nov. 5, and both former champions were being advertised for appearances as recently as 48 hours ago. However, both men have been removed from promotional material.

Barrett’s recovery from shoulder surgery will keep him out of action until December. Recently, Barrett discussed his rehabilitation and claimed that he hoped he would be cleared to compete earlier than December, and hopefully prior to the WWE European tour in November. Being from the UK, Barrett’s desire is to be well enough to perform for his countrymen. However, with him being removed from advertisements now, WWE is either going to use Barrett as a surprise for those in attendance, or he will not be used on the tour at all.

Bryan is out of action indefinitely. The latest word is that Bryan will have to undergo “Tommy John” surgery, which could add even more significant time to his recovery from injury. Bryan has not performed in a WWE ring since he successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Kane during the 2014 ‘Extreme Rules” PPV.

It was initially believed that the company kept both men on the tour in order to sell tickets. They both were expected to make appearances during the Live Events, whether they competed or not. Time will tell if this still happens now that they are not being promoted as featured superstars for the tour, which will run all throughout Europe from Nov. 5-15.

Editor’s Note:
Just after everyone realized they were being advertised, WWE pulls them from the promotional material. Interesting.
