The latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some backstage news on why Hornswoggle is back on TV. As previously reported, Hornswoggle was removed from television a month ago and was set to not return until the new film he is starring in, “Leprechaun: Origins,” was gearing up for release.

“Leprechaun: Origins” will drop on Aug. 22, which is why Hornswoggle has returned to WWE programming. This time, he’s running WITH the bull, El Torito, as a babyface character. WWE officials wanted Hornswoggle to be a baby face character upon his return due to the press and promotion that he will be doing for “Leprechaun: Origins” over the next couple of weeks.

Recently, Hornswoggle was accused of asking a fan for nude photographs on Twitter, though it seems as if nothing publicly as been addressed regarding the matter. The fan has since deleted her Twitter account and created a new one, solely due to the attention she was getting for outing Hornswoggle’s request. Hornswoggle seems to still be on very good terms with WWE executives, and is still being used on television.

Editor’s Note:
Why not have him back in his Leprechaun outfit from 2006-08 then? WHY must he be dressed in a cow suit? Really, Vince? Really?
