Backstage Heat on Total Divas Star Eva Marie

According to reports from F4Wonline.com, WWE Total Divas star Eva Marie is “passionately hated” backstage. The report states that even though the new reality show is heavily scripted, everyone’s hatred for the rookie “diva” is completely real, including real heat from top WWE talent.

One of the only “real” things that has happened with Eva Marie on the show was her tearful reaction to meeting with Stephanie McMahon. The drama that started with Eva Marie lying about her dance background in order to be Fandango’s dancer was completely fake and only storyline material. Also, the drama between Eva Marie and WWE officials about her hair was all storyline. They told her to go red.

When Total Divas was being written, Stephanie McMahon had mentioned to Creative that no matter how busy she gets on Mondays, if they have something good for her to do on the program, she would make time. Eva Marie did not know this and went into McMahon’s office with the idea that she’d done something extremely wrong and that McMahon was angry with her.

This is where the blurred lines of scripted and reality come into play, because Stephanie McMahon was in character the entire taping, but Eva Marie didn’t know that. Eva Marie never knew that McMahon was going to make time for the program, which led her to believe that something was very wrong if McMahon wanted to see her on a Monday, seeing as though McMahon is almost impossible to get face-time with on a Monday.
