There has been a lot of talk lately about TNA and their internal worry about finances and how much longer the company can run. Many employees of the company are still getting paid late, and moral is super low. As we previously reported, TNA superstar AJ Styles has signed a three-month extension on his TNA contract. The reason behind the “TNA poster boy” only signing an extension and not another multi-year deal is strictly due to TNA’s financial struggles.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter states that Styles’ original contract with the company called for raises each year. The new contract they were trying to get him to sign called for no raises and locked him in at his current salary.

Some websites were reporting that Styles signed for less money, but this is not the case, as he is locked into his current salary until 2014. Both sides essentially agreed to at least work together until the end of this year, then they will see how or if the landscape has changed.
