Last night’s “Monday Night Raw” ended in controversial fashion, as at appeared that both Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins’ shoulders were on the mat at the end of their WWE Championship match, which closed the show.

After a lengthy argument, Stephanie McMahon awarded the title to Seth Rollins as “Raw” went off of the air. Afterwards, on the WWE Network, the referee reviewed the instant replay, and declared that both men’s shoulders were down when he made the 3-count. As a result, the match was declared a draw, and Ambrose was given back the title.

In a WWE.com exclusive that was released earlier today, Shane and Stephanie both agreed that they would like to see “The Lunatic Fringe” and “The Architect” go at it one more time. As a result, they announced that both men would compete in a rematch for the WWE Championship on tonight’s premiere episode of “Smackdown Live.”

Editor’s Note:

While I’m thrilled to see Rollins and Ambrose go at it one more time, I have to wonder how this will affect the actual draft itself. With “Smackdown” only being a two hour show, and the amount of draft picks that need to be made, it doesn’t leave much time for actual wrestling. A match of this caliber deserves a long time to develop, so it might take away from the purpose of tonight’s show. The only assumption that I can come up with is that the draft will continue on the WWE Network after “Smackdown” goes off the air.
