When in journalism, it’s important to get your facts straight.

A pair of reports have come out from the The Sun and The Mirrorwhich indicate that WWE superstar The Big Show has retired from in ring competition. However, the reports used quotes from an interview from over a year ago, which has led to some concern about their validity.

The Big Show was in a match with Braun Strowman in 2017 where a ring collapsed. Here is a clip from that match:

“The World’s Largest Athlete” took to Twitter to comment on the reports, saying that they aren’t true:

The Big Show was last seen on WWE programming on the September 4, 2017 episode of “Raw.”  He was defeated by Strowman in a steel cage match and then thrown through the cage, in order to be written off of TV. This was due to the fact that he needed to undergo hip surgery at the time.

Editor’s Opinion:

I hope that he has not retired. I still feel that he is one of the most versatile and fun characters that WWE has, and is a future Hall of Famer for sure!
