Tony Khan Says He Has Spoken With Goldberg

It starts with a conversation. Last night at the 2023 Double or Nothing Media Scum, Tony Khan was asked if he has had conversations with Goldberg about joining AEW.

Khan said that he has had talks with Goldberg, due to what they have in common. He said that Goldberg has done a lot in Jacksonville and that the two have mutual interests, including football. However, he said that what they have talked about is between them and basically said “no comment” when he was asked about Goldberg coming to AEW.

There have been rumors that Khan was trying to sign Goldberg to have a retirement match with the company, but nothing has come to fruition. He has been a free agent since May 2023.

Goldberg last competed in a WWE ring at Elimination Chamber 2022, where he lost a match to Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship.

If there’s any way that Tony Khan can sign him, I don’t see how well it won’t happen. Khan has made it clear that he wants to bring in every type of major star that he can, and he would certainly fit that mold. We’ll see what happens with this!
