It had been previously reported that Emma had been released by WWE. However, that was not the only departure of the day.

WWE has updated their online article, indicating that Summer Rae and Darren Young have both been released by the company:

WWE has come to terms on the releases of WWE Superstars Emma, Darren Young and Summer Rae.

WWE wishes them the best in all of their future endeavors.

You can see a clip of Darren Young facing Jinder Mahal below:

Darren Young vs. Jinder Mahal: Raw, Sept. 5, 2016

Summer Rae had not been seen on WWE programming since February of 2016. She had been drafted to “Raw” as a part of the “Superstar Shakeup” in July, but had not been on television due to injury.

Darren Young was last seen on “Raw” in January of this year. After suffering an arm injury, he made his return to WWE at a house show in August.

We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available to us.

Editor’s Note:

Now that WWE is mentioning Emma, Summer Rae and Darren Young in the same article, perhaps the company is doing a bit of housecleaning? Whatever the cause may be, I’m sure that all three superstars will land on their feet and do great things.
