Tonight on “Smackdown Live,” it was confirmed that Shinsuke Nakamura’s opponent at “Backlash” will, in fact, be Dolph Ziggler. This will be the first match on the main roster for the “King of Strong Style.”

The buzz around Nakamura has been unbelievable since he made his debut on “Smackdown Live” the night after WrestleMania 33. He has been rumored to be facing Ziggler since the two were in the same ring the week following the “King of Strong Style’s” debut.
His debut has also been one of the main focal points for the promotion for “Backlash.”

I am beyond giddy about this. Many of you know that Nakamura has been my favorite wrestler in WWE since he debuted back at “NXT Takeover: Dallas” last year against Sami Zayn. While I had certainly heard of his exploits before, nothing could have prepared me for just how incredible of a talent this man is. The reaction from the Chicago crowd is going to be off the charts, and I can’t wait to see it!
