Why Has Rusev Been Off of WWE Programming Recently?

Perhaps he has been celebrating his day in style. One of the more controversial storylines as of late has been the feud between Rusev and Bobby Lashley, with Rusev’s “ex-wife” Lana, as the focal point.

In the storyline, Lana did not want to be married to Rusev anymore, and as a result, decided to marry Lashley instead. This has led to several matches and encounters between the three, with Liv Morgan being added to the mix to even the sides.

However, we have not seen The Bulgarian Brute on television for a while.

According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rusev is currently involved in a contract dispute with WWE, which is the reason for his lack of appearance on the company’s programming.

This is not the first time that Rusev has had contact issues; it had been previously reported that when his deal was up in the past, there had been hesitation to sign a new one.

I hope that they can get this resolved sooner rather than later. He is one of the most popular superstars in the company, and his gimmick has gotten him more over than most people on the roster.
