WWE recently celebrated the 25th Anniversary of their flagship show, “Raw,” this past Monday night. It was a night of returns, reunions and nostalgic moments that brought back a lot of great memories for many wrestling fans.

However, not everything that was presented was how it was supposed to be.

According to a report from Sports Illustrated, much of the show was rewritten about 3 hours prior to the event going live. The reason for this was because Jimmy Fallon was supposed to do several backstage interviews with and pre-taped segments with the various legends that were brought in for the show.

However, he was unable to arrive at the arena early enough to film everything in time for the live broadcast, so many of these segments simply became introductions and waves to the crowd.

Fallon was invited to “Raw 25” after, along with The New Day, losing a “Lip Sync Battle” to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on his show, “The Tonight Show.” You can see that clip below:

Editor’s Note:

Oh wow. Combine this with the fact that the news regarding Enzo Amore probably changed up their plans for the Cruiserweights, and that must have made for a chaotic day for the writing team. However, they got the job done, and provided an enjoyable show for the WWE Universe!
